1. HID lamp means high intensity discharge lamp
2. The principle of HID radiation is the arc discharge. Generated by special electric ballast which works on 13.2 volts and increases the 13.2V to 23000V instantly, the vapor atoms of filling xenon and metal halide inside the tube radiate lights with high efficacy, high brigthness and selected spectrum output.
3. HID Advantages:
A: HID consumed power is 35W, which is much less than the tungsten lamp'sconsumption, so it saves the oil.
B: The luminous flux of HID triples that of the tungsten halogen lamp, which can be more than 3000 lumens. It is brighter than the tungsten halogen lamp.
C: The service life of HID is more than 2500 hours, which is ten times of that of tungsten halogen lamp.
